I’ve always been someone who wears a lot of different hats.

I started out as an actor. For the last twenty years, I’ve been a ‘creative’: writing scripts for commercials, copywriting, becoming Creative Director of an international games agency, then a commercials director – before co-founding a production studio that won UK Media & Entertainment Startup of the Year. I’ve developed TV pilots for BBC Comedy, written, produced and directed a show at the Edinburgh Fringe, and directed shorts that have screened at international film festivals. Like I said, lots of different hats.

These experiences have given me a unique perspective. I’ve seen the creative industries from many angles: as a creative employee and a boss, as a struggling artist and as a successful business owner and entrepreneur.

Along the way I’ve found myself drawn towards many holistic practices, from yoga and meditation to tarot. Combining these two potentially disparate sides of myself: the strategic and the intuitive, the corporate and the artistic, has been a life’s work. And not just because I’m a Pisces, if you believe in that sort of thing. Finding balance between two opposing forces is the tension at the heart of all great creativity, and all creative lives.

My latest hat is that of a creative coach, albeit it’s one I’ve always been wearing. Since directing my first plays at school, I’ve been someone who’s keen to share not just their own vision, but also to tap into others’ potential and give them their spotlight. I’m an older brother as well as a Pisces. Creative coaching allows me to share my experience and gifts with others, as well as some of the tools and thinking I’ve picked up along the way.

It’s become my life’s mission to create from a place of authenticity. To live from a place of alignment. Now I look to share that mission with other people, whether that’s through the medium of film, or meaningful conversation.

We all need someone to act as a guide for us at times. I think of myself as your creative Sherpa. Whatever your mountain, I’m here to help you reach the summit.
